The Ultimate Guide to IIFT Exam

IIFT (Indian Institute of Foreign Trade) is a national level exam, and it’s an
entrance to management programmes. IIFT is organized by Indian Institute of
Foreign Trade, New Delhi. More than 60,000 candidates apply for the IIFT examevery year.The difficulty level of this exam is moderate to difficult, and
the general knowledge is too tricky and tough.

limit- There is no age limit for candidates.

Educational
qualification- Candidates having a bachelor’s degree
from any recognized university can apply for this exam. Atleast 55% marks are
required in graduation to be eligible for this exam. Final year candidates who
are willing to apply for this exam are also eligible.

The IIFT
registration process is conducted by both online and offline mode.

Online registration process
A. Applicant
should visit the IIFT official website.
B. Tap
on the given option ‘’Apply Now.’’
C. Applicants
should enter their details such as Date of birth, Name, and phone number. After
filling all the details tap the ‘’Submit’’ option.
D. Applicants
will be given a specific login and password which has to be submitted on the candidate’s
portal.
E. Once
all the process is done, an email will be sent to the applicant’s registered
email id.
F. Applicants
have to pay the application fees and have to upload their signature and
photographs.

Offline registration process
Any applicants who want to apply through offline
have to complete the application form along with it they have to purchase a
prospectus. Applicants have to send all the documents in an envelope to the
conducting body.

Ø Syllabus for IIFT exam
There are no major changes in the syllabus
for past some years. But there is always a possibility for minor changes. IIFT examconsists of four sections
which are as follows:
v Verbal Ability (VA)& Reading
Comprehension (RC) - This section consists of 36 questions.
Each question in both RC and VA section comprises of 0.75 mark. This section
checks the candidate’s efficiency in English and grammar skills. A candidate
having good knowledge in the English language will love this section. Some

v Quantitative Ability-This
section consists of 1 mark per question. There are 20 questions in this
section. The difficulty level is moderate to difficult. This section is the

v Logical Reasoning (LR)& Data
Interpretation (DI) - This section consists of 42 questions.
Each question in LR comprises of 1 mark and 0.75 mark for every question in DI.

is also a high scoring section, but it needs a lot of practice. Quick decision
making is required during this section. Some important topics for this section

v General awareness-
This section consists of 25 questions. Each question comprises of 0.50 mark.
